     Due to social-distancing concerns, our Chapter will continue not having regular monthly meetings, but we will continue to offer opportunities for learning from home using webinars.

2021 OGS Annual Conference ~ Virtual This Year!

     All of the details are on the OGS Conference website. The Registration Booklet is on the "Schedule" page. It includes important details and the calendar of all of the sessions and workshops. You can print out and mail your registration, or you can register online for the Conference and the Wednesday workshops.
  • Registration includes access to the entire Conference. The cost of each Wednesday workshop is extra, and you must be registered for the Conference.
  • Early Bird Registration (at a reduced rate) ends 01 March 2021.
  • Online Registration ends 02 April 2021.

For the first time, the RootsTech annual conference will be entirely virtual and completely FREE.

Even if you cannot "attend" on the "live" dates, register to receive updates on the programs and access to recordings of all of the sessions after the conference.

The Laning-Young Research Library Is Now Open!
     We are pleased to announce that the Laning-Young Research Library will be open to the public, beginning on Thursday, 18 June 2020. There will be a limit of two visitors at one time, and masks will be required.
​
LIBRARY HOURS:
  • Thursday thru Sunday, 11 am to 3 pm. All visitors are asked to call 419-663-0392 to reserve a time spot in advance. Drop-in visitors will be accepted only if no one has reserved the time when they come. However, we will try to our best to help out-of-town visitors who may not be aware of our reservation procedure.
  • Monday thru Wednesday: The Library will be closed. Appointments will be taken for out-of-town visitors only, if one of these days is the only time they can come. Email us in advance at: huroncoogs@gmail.com. We will answer you by email, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Chapter Meetings
​        • All regular meetings are on the 4th Monday of each month at 7:00 pm.
        • April meeting is the Annual Awards Dinner.
        • No meeting in December.

     All meetings are held at the Firelands Historical Society Meeting Room, 9 Case Avenue, Norwalk, Ohio, unless otherwise announced, and are open to the public.
