Our free in-person genealogy classes are starting again this fall! We will have our basic 2-session beginner classes, and we are also offering our 1-session "Brick Wall" class for advanced researchers that was popular this spring. All classes will be held at public libraries in the area, and advanced sign-up is required. Class size is limited, and the spaces fill up quickly. A new Wi-Fi/internet system has been installed at the Firelands Historical Society Museum and the Laning-Young Research Library.

Laning-Young Research Library Update
Effective on Tuesday, 1 June 2021, all COVID restrictions will be removed and there will be no limit for the number of visitors who can be in the library at one time. We ask that visitors be responsible for themselves. Masks will not be required, but they will be available (along with hand sanitizer) for those who are more comfortable using them.

- Thursday thru Sunday, 11 am to 3 pm. It is no longer necessary to reserve a time spot in advance. You can come anytime during the hours open.
- Monday thru Wednesday: The Library is closed. Appointments will be taken (especially for out-of-town visitors), if one of these days is the only time they can come. Email us in advance at: huroncoogs@gmail.com. We will answer you by email, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
